Our yoga workshops will help you increase your strength and flexibility, while also improving your balance and posture. It also prevents the breakdown of your cartilage and joints, by putting them through a full range of motion; this helps to ward off conditions like arthritis. It also helps to better your bone health and strengthen your spine, and ups your heart rate and blood flow while lowering your blood pressure over the long term.

Our Three ‘B’eauties of Yoga Workshop will help you reap the physical benefits of yoga with expert tuition from our instructors. It focuses on backbends, which improve flexibility and strengthen the back muscles; bandhas, ‘body lock’ positions including Mula Bandha, Uddiyana Bandha and Jalandhara Bandha with core strengthening poses; and balance, with particular focus on the feet, hands, head and shoulders. This workshop is great for normal practitioners looking to progress with their yoga as well as for yoga professionals as a form of continuous professional development.

The physical benefits of yoga exist alongside, and inform, the mental, psychological and emotional benefits of the practise. An increasing body of evidence is emerging that meditation and yoga can have positive effects on mood and can ease the symptoms of mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. Our Yoga Workshop for Mental Health will teach you a range of mood-enhancing yoga and meditation techniques, including how to regulate and understand your mood through breath; a range of Pranayama breathing exercises which quieten your nervous system; and techniques which help you to objectively view, accept and understand your mental processes and their relationship to your body. The Yoga Workshop for Mental Health lasts for three hours and is suitable for beginners, more advanced practitioners, or yoga professionals wishing to expand and consolidate their knowledge and skills.
