Yoga Therapy is usually conducted on a one-to-one basis. It tailors yoga to a persons individual needs, taking into account their health problems, constitution and circumstances. Yoga Therapy can be used along with any medical treatment and in conjuction with other complementary therapies.
Yoga Therapy can help with the treatment of many health concerns: Pregnancy, Anxiety, Arthritis, Asthma, Cancer, Diabetes, Depression, Headaches, High Blood Pressure, Pain, Addiciton, Low Back Pain, Heart Conditions, Hyperventilation, Irritable Bowel Sydrome, Multiple Scelerosis, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, M.E, Sports injuries and Women's Health Problems. It promotes the innate healing resource of the body, helping to restore the proper functioning of the bodies systems.
What happens in a session?
Yoga Therapy starts with very simple exercises. People can begin to practice and benefit right away, even if they have never done yoga before. Commencing with stretching and breathing exercises, students gradually progress in stages to a range of asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises) and relaxation practices.
A minimum of four hourly sessions.
